Hello, I have a question concerning a book, that may be very familiar to many of you. It is called, the BrillDAG, The Brill Dictionary of Ancient Greek. I did read a short blurb on it, but I am looking for your honest opinion on it, as I have never come across it before. I ask this question primarily as it relates to New Testament Communicative Greek. Such as, would this be a valuable resource to help add to my vocabulary as I may wonder what Koine word to use in a given situation. Recommendations would also be appreciated! (I am presently working my way slowly through the material by Randall Buth, and on this website) I realize that I will have many more questions, as God willing, I progress in my studies of NT Koine Greek. I am just very curious as to this book, as I came across it on Facebook tonight and have never heard of it before. Thank you for you time. Harlan

Word Order...in speaking Communicative Greek
1) I have read, that word order does not matter in Koine Greek.
What are your thoughts on that please. 2) Point being...what word order is a American speaker in Communicative Greek to use? 3) Have you noticed a different order coming forth, as speakers around the globe, speak a different native language? 4) If there is a difference, do you think there may become a standard someday? 5) Is there a noticeable difference between Biblical Greek and other Koine literature, concerning word order? I am thinking that one who spends a lot of time in the New Covenant as well as in the LXX, may actually be speaking with a word order proceeding from a Hebraic mindset. I am also thinking, as similar to #3, how does/did A) Geographic Regions and B) Time, effect Word Order? Thank you in advance for your attention to my question!

Are you aware of a Dictionary for the usage of Koine Greek as a living language? Or possibly if there may be one online that a community of believers may be adding to, such as with the online lexicon I have seen in relation to Bill Mounce for New Testament Koine Greek? You already have the beginning of one of sorts, as you are providing listings including the sources on your Facebook page. Thank you again for your time!

As you know, the entire spectrum has been written concerning accents. I have read, completely ignore them, to speak them out completely. My question is, what are the rules concerning accents as one adheress to your system of pronunciation of Koine Greek? Thank you for your time!

I have a question if I may please. Starting out in the academic pronunciation, I am now going to change over to Living Koine. Did I read that there is no rough breathing mark, the way that you and Randall Buth speak. Thank you!
