Hi all, I recently ordered Philemon Zachariou’s work on Koine pronunciation and was hoping there may be some folks here who have read it and care to share any thoughts. I have basically adopted the pronunciation scheme used by this website, although with some inconsistency around my pronunciation of gamma. It will be interesting to compare what this new book says and what Dr Buth and Kantor use

I have read parts of the book and it is not an easy read. I like the idea of modern Greek pronunciation as it will help me by studying a living language. I just finished a Biblingo class and also did one of Dr. Bluth's classes. I still struggle with the language though and only know English-typical American! I thought perhaps if I used modern pronunciation that I would be more likely to study as I am planning a trip to Greece within the next 2 years.
